TECHNGI Responds to UK National Data Strategy consultation
TECHNGI responded to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCM)’s consultation on the UK National Data Strategy (NDS) on 9 December, 2020.
The consultation on the framework National Data Strategy (NDS) ran from 9 September 2020 to 9 December 2020, ‘to explore whether or not the strategy appropriately reflects the opportunities and challenges of our hyper-digital world and considers all relevant priorities, potential trade-offs and decisions…’
Our response was informed by our insurance focused research, conducted as part of the UK’s Next Generation Services Industrial Challenge and supported by the UK government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund. The TECHNGI cross-disciplinary research project has focused on the effective use of data and the application of data technologies to improve the international competitiveness and customer outcomes achieved by the UK insurance industry.
Our response highlighted the importance of the UK data strategy identifying and meeting the requirements for unlocking the value of data across distinct but interrelated levels.
